The Test d’Évaluation de Français (TEF) and the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF) are widely-used around the world to evaluate French-language proficiency. Whether a person takes the TEF or TCF is often determined by which country they live in or other factors.
Galway Academy provides an online TEF Preparation Course and an online TCF Preparation Course which are designed to enhance a person’s French language proficiency and prepare the individual for the Test d’Évaluation de Français (TEF) or the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF) as relevant.
Preparing for the TEF or TCF (as relevant) before taking the exam can help an individual to attain a higher score, which could make the difference in whether the person meets the French language requirements for certain programs.

Both of these courses comprise nine lessons, each containing videos focusing on Written Expression, Oral Expression, Written Comprehension, and Oral Comprehension.
Our course materials include exercises, images, audio files, grammar explanations, and vocabulary lists tailored to each lesson’s theme.
Quizzes are provided after each lesson to test an individual’s understanding and track his or her progress.
What sets our course apart is our instructor’s expertise. With over 15 years of experience in teaching French, a BA in Teaching French from the University of Ottawa, and a Master’s Degree in Language Didactics from the Université du Québec à Montréal, our instructor brings a wealth of knowledge to guide students through the course effectively.
Furthermore, the sessions are personalized to meet each student’s proficiency level and individual learning needs.
At the end of the course, there is an opportunity to simulate the actual TEF or TCF exam (as relevant) to become more familiar with the format and evaluate readiness to take the test.
